We are presently identifying candidates to submit for consideration as an Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Level) - PFPA in response to a need solicited by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) - Investigations & Intelligence Directorate (IID) – Threat Intelligence Center (TIC). The PFPA provides force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated DoD facilities within the National Capital Region (NCR). The IID was established to maintain an organic Force Protection capability to provide training, identify vulnerabilities, and resolve other Force Protection matters to intelligence and terrorist threats targeting the DoD Law Enforcement public safety and High-Risk Personnel (HRP).
This task order provides PFPA with the necessary resources to accomplish its mission requirements. The TIC serves as the Agency focal point for identifying, analyzing, providing initial investigation and coordinates with other Federal, State and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies, regarding known or suspected threats to the Personnel and Facilities under the authority of the PFPA. This overall mission includes protection of HRP under the authority of PFPA and the employment of specialized techniques to identify any protective intelligence or personal identifiable information threats to HRPs and the personnel and facilities under the authority of PFPA.  The TIC also liaisons with State and Federal Law Enforcement Fusion Centers to ensure the appropriate sharing of threat information.
The overall mission is to develop and orchestrate Force Protection analytical support to PFPA in order to identify threats through intelligence analysis and activities working in collaboration with the military services, intelligence, and law enforcement communities.
 
Required—
  • TOP SECRET Clearance is required- with SCI eligibility. This contract does not allow for the time required to obtain a clearance. Therefore, all qualified candidates must already possess the necessary clearance and clearance level to be considered.
  • Must meet one of the following skill categories:
    • Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of intelligence analysis experience.;
    • Specialized training with 4-8 years intelligence analysis experience;
    • Equivalent intelligence/academic experience.
  • Formal training to assist authorized Force Protection investigations, security evaluations, military order of battle analysis, analysis of governmental or international operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of foreign entities, foreign languages and cultures, political structure, economic systems, social structures, and information networks
  • Familiarity or previous experience in drafting, reviewing, publishing, and evaluating Intelligence Information Reports (IIR);
  • Strong technical writing experience.
 
 Responsibilities—
  • Will exercise a full-range of concepts, principles, practices, laws, methods, and techniques pertaining to DoD IAW standards and PFPA intelligence analysis and production.
  • Apply working knowledge of US Government and DoD national security intelligence authorities and areas of responsibility.
  • Apply working knowledge of US Government and DoD Force Protection activities, roles and missions, and governing laws and regulations.
  • Display familiarity with the DoD intelligence enterprise structure, Force Protection support to Defense or other government departments or agencies, DoD Combatant Commands, and other DoD components.
  • Assist in developing new or modified work methods, teamwork, innovative approaches, and alternative uses of new or available data sources.  Innovation, creativity, and useful, timely production are important.
  • Provide proficient use of Microsoft Office software programs to include Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook, and Power Point.  Familiarity with computer-based intelligence tools, websites and applications is also needed.
  • Apply basic understanding (as an all-source analyst) of the various forms of intelligence in order to incorporate this data into intelligence analysis; HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and Cyber operations.  This does not imply having a capability to conduct collection or manipulate technical data from these disciplines, but the ability to evaluate and put general information into a written product understanding by non-technical readers
  • Perform pattern, trend, and link analysis based on analysis of intelligence reporting, message traffic, other data sources, and collaboration with other intelligence analysts, intelligence collectors, and investigators.
  • Apply strong writing skills, to include experience in preparing threat assessments for the PFPA, information memoranda, briefings, intelligence reports or policy assessments as required for timely and responsive deliver to DoD customers.
  • Utilize strong oral communication skills, to include the ability to brief a wide-range of audiences on intelligence assessments, regional environments, or security environment.
  • Demonstrate a familiarity with, and ability to be effective in, the PFPA working environment, diligently mastering and managing priorities, and communicating the preferences and philosophies of the various directorates and their organization and clients.
  • Interact with various levels of people within and outside of the organization to obtain information.  Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and planning skills are required in the planning, development, installation and maintenance of highly complex management information.
  • Provide informational memorandums, quarterly reports, monthly activity reports, IIR evaluations reports, and annual assessment as determined by government lead.
  • Core hours of work will be a staggered schedule (8-hour block WITHIN the hours of 0600-1800), Monday through Friday.
